J. J. Powell, Inc. began over 50 years ago when Justin J. Powell and his sons Jack and Jim Powell started a heating oil company in Chester Hill. Through his supervision and dedication he grew the business into one of the top marketers of residential and commercial fuel, lubricants and heating/air conditioning installations and repair.  When Jeff and Keith Powell assumed leadership in the mid-1990’s, the company was already successful with active accounts in 6 counties in the Centre Region.  

Most recently they have expanded the operation to include acquisitions in Lewistown and the former Centre Oil and Gas Company in Bellefonte. With continued support of our customers and improvement in operations, the prospects of continued growth are bright.

Today, J.J. Powell not only sells and delivers home and business heating oil products, but many other petroleum products as well. We also install and service home and business heating and air conditioning systems.
